The Changu Kana Thakur Arts, Commerce and Science College (Empowered Autonomous) in New Panvel has launched a specialised Maharashtra Police Recruitment Pre-Training Academy, offering candidates preparation for both the physical and written components of the recruitment process.
The new training batch will begin on October 5, 2026, under the college’s Dr C. D. Deshmukh Competitive Examination Centre. Registration for the batch is currently open at the college.
The initiative is designed to allow students to prepare for police recruitment alongside their regular education, with physical training and academic preparation being offered through the same programme.
Ground training and written preparation
A key component of the academy is daily ground training, conducted in the evening by specialist trainers on a dedicated sports ground. Candidates will receive structured preparation for the physical test as part of the programme.
The academic component will cover subjects including mathematics, reasoning, Marathi grammar and general knowledge. The programme will also include multiple test series based on the current examination pattern to give candidates practice in written examinations.
The academy will provide guidance from serving and former police officers as well as experienced professors, according to the college.
Candidates will also have access to the college’s library and study facilities, along with subject-specific study material to support their preparation.
Four-hour evening programme
The training sessions are scheduled from 3 pm to 7 pm, allowing participants to combine the academy’s physical and academic components within a single evening programme.
Through the initiative, CKT College aims to provide an integrated preparation platform for students aspiring to join the Maharashtra Police, bringing physical training, examination preparation, practice tests and expert guidance together under one programme.
