Prashant Shedge, President of the Panvel Mahanagar Press Club, was honoured with the ‘Excellence in Journalism’ award by the Nagothane Rural Journalists Association.
The award was presented by NCP State President and Member of Parliament Sunil Tatkare during the association’s 14th anniversary programme, held in Nagothane.
Recognition for longstanding contribution
Shedge has been active in journalism for over two decades, during which he has worked with several publications and reported on a range of social issues.
Organisers noted that his work has consistently focused on raising concerns related to various sections of society, along with coverage of local and civic matters.

The anniversary event was attended by several dignitaries, including Adv. Mahesh Pawar (President, Nagothane Rural Journalists Association), Founder Shyamkant Nerpagar, Secretary Anil Pawar, and other members of the association.
