Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, its first CNG-powered passenger SUV for retail customers, with prices starting at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new model combines a turbocharged engine with CNG and petrol fuel options. According to the company, it delivers 82 kW of power and 200 Nm of torque on both fuels, while its claimed certified mileage stands at 24.7 km per kg of CNG.
The SUV is aimed at buyers seeking lower running costs without giving up the performance, space and features associated with an SUV.
Features from the base variant
Even the entry-level variant gets a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen, cruise control, rear AC vents and rear seats that split in a 60:40 ratio. Mahindra has also highlighted the model’s interior space, comfort, technology and safety features.
Dr Velusamy R, President of Mahindra’s Automotive Business, said the XUV 3XO ZNG was designed to combine the economy of CNG with the performance of a turbocharged engine and the features customers expect from an SUV.
The ₹9.99 lakh starting price is ex-showroom; on-road costs will vary by location and applicable charges.
