Baban Namdev Mukadam has been elected as the Chairperson of the Standing Committee, while Mamata Pritam Mhatre has been elected as the Chairperson of the Women and Child Welfare Committee of the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC).
The elections were held at a special meeting conducted at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Natyagruha in Panvel, chaired by Presiding Officer Ranjit Yadav, Chief Executive Officer of the Thane Zilla Parishad.
The process was carried out in the presence of PMC Commissioner Mangesh Chitale and Municipal Secretary Nanasaheb Kamthe, following due procedure.
After scrutiny of nominations received on March 17, 2026, only one valid nomination was filed for each post, resulting in both candidates being elected unopposed.
The appointments have been made for a one-year term, with the official declaration made during the meeting.
