To facilitate smooth and uninterrupted travel to the ‘Hind Di Chadar’ event in Kharghar, the NMMT has made provisions for free bus services from their depots, and other major hubs in different parts of the city to the event venue.
The 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, Shaheedi Diwas, is expected to attract between 15-20 lakh people from all around the city, and beyond the state as well. To accommodate the influx of people the NMMT has marked dedicated bus stops plying free buses to the venue throughout the day, from 7 am to 11 pm, on the 28th of February, and 1st of March, the concluding day of the Hind-Di-Chadar event. Having said that, transportation is the key to the smooth functioning of the two-day event.
As a result, the NMMT has made provisions for these buses, which will be connecting major hubs in key locations of Navi Mumbai in Panvel, Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Koperkhairane, till Airoli.
These bus stops are strategically located at major hubs such as local railway stations and bus depots across the city.
