Schools operated by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.19 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations for the academic year 2025–26.
According to the results declared by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Friday, 2,492 students from 23 NMMC secondary schools successfully passed the examination.
A total of 2,703 students from civic schools had appeared for the SSC examinations conducted between February 20 and March 18, 2026.
Sanpada student emerges as top scorer among civic schools
Abhiram Manojkumar Raut from NMMC School No. 116, Sanpada (Marathi medium), secured 94.40 per cent marks, emerging as the highest scorer among all municipal school students in Navi Mumbai.
Riya Rakesh Kahar from NMMC School No. 120, Diva Airoli (English medium), secured the second position with 93.40 per cent marks.
Shravani Sandeep Galve from NMMC School No. 118, Pawane (Marathi medium), secured the third position with 93.20 per cent marks.
Diva civic school records 100 per cent result
Among the 23 municipal secondary schools, NMMC Secondary School No. 120 at Diva, popularly known as the “Glass School”, recorded a 100 per cent pass result.
The civic administration noted that the overall performance reflected sustained academic support and focused preparation efforts undertaken throughout the year.
Guidance programmes and practice tests credited for performance
According to the education department, all municipal schools were provided with 21 sets of guidance material and expected question banks to support SSC preparation.
Special guidance sessions were also conducted during the Diwali vacation and after regular school hours, where students received additional academic support and personal mentoring.
Schools were further provided with practice question sets, based on which regular mock examinations were conducted at the school level.
Officials stated that the combined efforts of principals, teachers and coordinators played a significant role in improving student performance across municipal schools.

Mayor Sujata Patil, Deputy Mayor Dashrath Bhagat, Municipal Commissioner Dr Kailas Shinde, Standing Committee Chairman Ashok Patil, Leader of the House Sagar Naik and Opposition Leader Vijay Chougule congratulated the successful students and extended their best wishes for their future academic journey.
The civic administration also acknowledged the efforts of teachers, school principals and the education department in achieving the result under NMMC’s broader education improvement initiatives.
