Thousands of candles, an enchanting setting and an evening of live music will come together in what promises to be a distinctive cultural experience for residents of Panvel. Society Mitra Mandal, Panvel, is organising the city’s first-ever grand Live Candlelight Concert as part of its annual Deepotsav 2026 celebrations.
The musical evening will take place on Friday, 6 November, at 7.30 pm at the MCCH Society ground in Panvel. Renowned singer Aditya Neela will headline the concert, captivating the audience with his musical performance amid the glow of thousands of candles.
The Deepotsav celebrations are being organised under the blessings of former Member of Parliament and people’s leader Ramseth Thakur, under the guidance of MLA Prashant Thakur, and on the initiative of former Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) House Leader and corporator Paresh Thakur.
The organisers are planning an atmospheric setting illuminated by thousands of candles, complemented by melodious music and an elaborate lighting arrangement. Moving beyond the format of conventional musical programmes, the candlelight concert is intended to offer residents a distinctive experience, bringing together the warmth of the festival and the appeal of live music. The event has already generated considerable anticipation among Panvel residents.
Society Mitra Mandal has also planned various activities as part of Deepotsav, with the broader objective of making the festival more than a celebration of lights. The initiative seeks to bring citizens together, provide opportunities to experience cultural festivities and strengthen social harmony within the community.
Inviting residents to attend the musical evening with their families in large numbers, Society Mitra Mandal president and corporator Sumit Ulhas Zunjarrao said that their participation would add to the celebrations and make the Deepotsav experience even more memorable.
