PMC Honours ‘Six Sectors of Civic Excellence’ under Panvel Swachh Ward Ranking 2026

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the results of the Panvel Swachh Ward Ranking 2026, honouring institutions that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to cleanliness and sanitation across the city.

Under the initiative, the civic body recognised winners across what it described as “Six Sectors of Civic Excellence,” highlighting institutions that have set strong examples in maintaining hygienic and well-managed premises.

Winners Across Six Civic Categories

The institutions securing the first position in their respective sectors are:

1. Schools: Loknete Shri Ramshet Thakur Public School (Ward 4)
2. Housing Societies: Kalpataru Riverside (Ward 19)
3. Hospitals: Shankara Eye Hospital (Ward 16)
4. Hotels: Hotel Suruchi (Ward 19)
5. Markets: Ganesh Market (Ward 17)
6. Government Offices: Maharashtra Bhushan Shri Nanasaheb Darmadhikari Government Industrial Training Institute (Ward 17)

Rigorous Evaluation Process

Participating institutions were rigorously evaluated on parameters such as waste management practices, sanitation infrastructure and overall public hygiene standards.

Each institution was assessed against a maximum possible score of 150 points, ensuring that the rankings reflected consistent efforts towards maintaining clean and well-organised environments.

Encouraging Civic Responsibility

Officials said the initiative is part of the Panvel Municipal Corporation’s broader efforts to encourage institutions and communities to take an active role in maintaining cleanliness across Panvel.

By recognising organisations that demonstrate best practices in sanitation and waste management, the civic body hopes to promote greater awareness and participation in cleanliness initiatives across different wards of the city.
