A film depicting the life journey of former Member of Parliament Ramsheth Thakur was presented at the Ramsheth Thakur International Sports Complex in the Ulwe node, as part of celebrations marking his 75th birthday year, observed as Amrit Mahotsav.
The film, titled “Karmayogi: An Uninterrupted Journey,” is based on a stage presentation originally performed by students of the Loknete Ramsheth Thakur English Medium School and Junior College in Kamothe during their annual gathering. Following its reception, the presentation was later adapted into a documentary-style film highlighting various phases of Thakur’s life and public work.
The narrative reflects his journey in public life and his association with educational and social initiatives over the years.
The screening was attended by several dignitaries, including Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Chairman Chandrakant Dalvi, Vice Chairman Bhagirath Shinde, Secretary Vikas Deshmukh, MLA Prashant Thakur, corporator Paresh Thakur, Dr Rajendra More, Dr Shivaling Menkudale, Bandu Pawar, Managing Council member D. B. Patil, Jyotsna Thakur, General Body member Y. T. Deshmukh, Life Member Ravindra Bhoir, newly elected Zilla Parishad member Nikita Kharkar, former Panchayat Samiti member Ratnaprabha Gharat, executive committee member of the Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha Adv. Rahul Gharat, district president of the cultural cell Abhishek Patwardhan, Dhiraj Owalekar, Dhairyashil Mane, and Principal Swapnali Mhatre, among others.
The event formed part of a series of programmes organised to commemorate Ramsheth Thakur’s 75th birthday and Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, recognising his contributions to public life and education in the Panvel and Navi Mumbai region
