A grand musical programme titled “Swar Sandhya” will be organised in Panvel on Monday, June 1, as part of the Amrut Mahotsav year celebrations of former MP Ramsheth Thakur.
The programme is being jointly organised by the Loknete Ramsheth Thakur Amrut Mahotsav Year Planning Committee, Shri Ramsheth Thakur Samajik Vikas Mandal and Nadbrahma Sadhana Mandal Kharghar.
The event will begin at 5 pm at the Shri Ramsheth Thakur Samajik Vikas Mandal hall in Panvel and entry for music lovers has been kept free.
Organisers stated that various social, educational and cultural initiatives are being conducted throughout the Amrut Mahotsav year to commemorate the contribution of Ramsheth Thakur in public life.
As part of the programme, renowned singers and Saregamapa Little Champs fame artistes Anjali Gaikwad and Dnyaneshwari Gadge will perform a range of musical presentations for the audience.
Both singers have earned recognition among music lovers through their performances and are expected to present a blend of classical and light music during the event.
The programme will also feature accompaniment by Pandit Pratapbuwa Patil on mridang, Prasad Padhye on tabla and Suryakant Surve on percussion.
In addition, Navdurga Prasadic Bhajan Mandal from Kopra will present devotional bhajans during the cultural evening. Singer Shivmala Patil, pakhawaj artiste Nilesh Patil and tabla accompanist Mrugendra Kadu will also participate in the programme.
The event will be compered by Manohar Madke.
Organisers have appealed to music enthusiasts and citizens to attend the programme in large numbers and experience an evening celebrating music, devotional traditions and cultural performances.
