Highlighting growing concerns around changing social behaviour among children and teenagers, the Raigad Paediatric Association has organised a special seminar and interactive discussion session on the topic “Parenting in Changing Times” for parents and teachers in Panvel.
The session will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, between 11 am and 1 pm at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium.
Organisers stated that rapid urbanisation, industrialisation, increasing competition, excessive social media exposure and changing behavioural patterns among adolescents have created new challenges for parents and educators alike.
The association noted that concerns related to rising addiction tendencies among youngsters, behavioural problems, aggression and the psychological impact of digital exposure have increasingly left many parents uncertain about how to navigate modern parenting responsibilities.
Keeping these issues in mind, the seminar has been designed as an open discussion and guidance platform focusing on contemporary parenting challenges and evolving child behaviour.
The session will be moderated by noted paediatrician, speaker, author and communication expert Dr Amol Annadate.
Experts participating in the discussion include Dr Nishikant Kotwal from Nagpur, Dr Jayant Pandhrikar from Amravati, Dr Chandrashekhar Dabhadkar from Mahad, Dr Suchit Tamboli from Ahilyanagar and Dr Neelima Bhandarkar from Panvel.
According to organisers, the experts will share guidance on various aspects related to parenting, adolescent behaviour, communication with children and emerging social challenges affecting younger generations.
An interactive question-and-answer session has also been planned following the discussion, allowing parents and teachers to directly raise concerns and seek guidance from specialists.
Chief organiser Dr Chitra Kulkarni and programme coordinator Dr Jay Bhandarkar have appealed to parents and teachers to participate in large numbers and make use of the guidance session.
