Four students from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) schools were felicitated during the civic body’s general body meeting for their achievements at national and international levels.
Among them, Class 10 student Amogh Bansode from School No. 120 has been selected for the ‘Seeds of Peace International Camp 2026’ to be held in Devon, England. He is among 17 students shortlisted from across the country following a multi-stage selection process.
In addition, Shifa Ansari from School No. 15 and Shreya Kamble and Janhavi Gaikwad from School No. 31 secured third place at the national level in the ‘Codeavour 7.0’ competition for their project on breast cancer detection using artificial intelligence. The team will represent India at the international round scheduled to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia in May.
The students were felicitated by Mayor Sujata Patil in the presence of civic officials, elected representatives, teachers and parents.
Officials noted that the achievements reflect growing participation of municipal school students in national and international platforms, particularly in areas such as technology and leadership development.
