As part of efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure and support students preparing for competitive examinations, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s Pawnegaon library has received a donation of examination books and laptops through an initiative led by corporator Shashikant Bhoir.
The donation was facilitated with support from NOCIL Limited representatives Rajendra Desai and Sumit, who handed over study material and digital resources to the library.
Competitive examination books donated for students
A set of 17 books related to various competitive examinations was donated to the library as part of the initiative.
According to officials, the collection includes study material useful for UPSC, MPSC and other competitive examination aspirants.
In addition to the books, a bag rack and footwear rack were also provided for the library premises.
10 laptops added to improve digital study access
To strengthen digital learning facilities for students, 10 laptops have also been made available at the library.
Officials stated that students visiting the library will be able to use the laptops for study purposes and examination preparation within the library premises.
The initiative is expected to benefit local students by improving access to educational resources and digital study infrastructure.
NMMC highlights focus on reading culture and educational spaces
NMMC officials stated that libraries are being developed across different parts of Navi Mumbai as part of broader efforts to preserve reading culture and strengthen intellectual and educational spaces within the city.
Officials added that similar student-oriented educational initiatives would continue to be encouraged in the future.
Librarian Archana Nagarale and assistant librarian Sharmili Dighe were also present during the programme.
