Panvel-based bodybuilder Sukhdeep Singh Ubhi secured a bronze medal at the National Bodybuilding Championship 2026 held in Pune.
The competition, organised by the Indian Body Building and Fitness Federation, saw participation from athletes across the country, with strong representation in multiple categories.
Bronze medal in Classic Physique category
Ubhi competed in the Classic Physique category for men above 180 cm, where he finished third in a competitive field.
His performance was marked by balanced physique, muscle definition and stage presentation, which helped him secure a podium finish at the national level.
Earlier gold at Maharashtra-level competition
The national medal follows his recent performance at the Maharashtra Shree (Aamdar Chashak) 2026 competition held in Panvel, where he won a gold medal in the 90 kg category.
Training and coaching support
Ubhi trains at Tyso Fitness Gym in Khandeshwar Colony and is coached by Nilesh Dagade.
His preparation includes structured training and diet, which contributed to his performance at both state and national levels.
Recognition from local representatives
Following his achievement, local representatives, including corporator Paresh Thakur, extended congratulations and wished him success in future competitions.

Reacting to his performance, Ubhi said the result was made possible through consistent training, guidance from his coach and support from his family. He added that he aims to perform at higher-level competitions going forward.
