A tree plantation drive was organised in Ulwe as part of the Amrut Mahotsav year of former Member of Parliament Ramsheth Thakur, with a focus on promoting environmental awareness and responsibility.
The programme was held at the premises of Ramsheth Thakur Public School and was organised by the Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha.
Focus on Environmental Awareness
The initiative centred around the message “Vruksh Ek Jawabdari” (A Tree is a Responsibility), highlighting the importance of tree plantation and conservation in urban areas.
Saplings of various species were planted during the programme by invited guests and participants, with an emphasis on long-term environmental sustainability.

The event was attended by Ramsheth Thakur, along with Vice Chairman Y. T. Deshmukh and other local representatives and community members.
Teachers, staff and volunteers also participated in the plantation activity, reflecting collective involvement in the initiative.
